Sunday Breakdown 6.6.10

Another great morning at Life Church! We started our new series, DNA, this week. DNA is a 6 week series based on the six core values of Life Church. This week’s message was about “The Bible is Alive and Life Changing”.

To start this series off, we chose to play on the idea of DNA, what are you made of, etc. We opened with a classic song from “The Who“, “Who Are You”. It was a blast to play and sing and I think we did a pretty good job with it! So, here was the set list…

Who Are You (The Who) – You may know this song better as the theme song to CSI Miami, “Who are you/who, who, who, who”. We had a blast with it and again, I think we did a good cover of it!

All Creation Sings (Newspring Worship) – This is a fairly new song to Life Church. We’ve been doing it for a couple of months now and I really enjoy it. It seems to have really been embraced by the church too.

Song of Hope (Robbie Seay band) – We’ve been doing this song for a while now. A nice, upbeat song about the hope we have in Christ.

Revelation Song (Kari Jobe version) – This is another fairly new song to Life Church. We’ve done it a couple of times, and every time we’ve done it, Christy has done a GREAT job and this week was no different! GREAT SONG!!

–Jason’s Message–

Amazing Grace/My Chains Are Gone (Chris Tomlin version) – I love leading this song. It had been a while since he done this song, so I was really excited to get to schedule it again. We take the Tomlin version of this tune and kind of make it a little more Southern Rock. When we ever record a Life Church worship album, this song will DEFINITELY be on it!

–Offering–

Uncontainable (Lee McDerment) – This is a GREAT upbeat declaration song about the uncontainable, life changing power of God! Do you like this song as much as I do?

Alright, make sure and leave a comment and let me know what you thought about Sunday.
