My Sweet Sarah Beth

When we found out we were having a little girl, I envisioned this sweet, easy-going, calm, quite princess. Well, Sarah Beth is 9 months old and she is definitely sweet and for the most part easy going and she is DEFINITELY my princess. But, she is not quite or calm! She is a spit-fire. We thought Grayson was wild, but Sarah Beth has really been the one who is into everything. Grayson was always very studious. He would study something forever and then finally swoop in to check it out. Sarah Beth on the other hand, swoops in to check it out, and then processes what just happened on the way to the next adventure! God definitely has his hand on Sarah Beth and I know that she is going to have a huge impact on the His kingdom as she grows up!

When Sarah Beth was born we (mainly Mandy) noticed that she had a slight wheeze when she breathed. The doctor sent us to a Pediatric Pulmonologist for some specialized testing and it was confirmed she had tracheomalatia (basically the cartilage of her trachea was not fully hardened, so when she breathed, it would collapse a little bit). We had to do a couple more doctor’s visits for some more testing, but basically we were told she should grow out of it by somewhere between 12 and 24 months, if she didn’t grow out of it, then there were some possible surgeries to consider. Well, we prayed and prayed and prayed and prayed for God to just take the tracheomalatia away. So, yesterday, Sarah Beth had a follow up appointment with our Pulmonologist to check and see how she was progressing. The doctor said, “You would never know anything was wrong with her, her breathing sounds perfect!”. So, the diagnosis which should have taken between 12 and 24 months to possibly clear up was completely gone in just 9 months! Praise God!

On that note, enjoy Sarah beth laughing for the camera. Anytime we get the camera out, she starts hamming it up!

  1. Grayson just made us play that 4xs. Think he loves his sister? The “live” thing is napping, so a big brother has to get his SB fix somewhere!!!

  2. So precious! Her sweet little laugh.
