Sunday Breakdown (not quite as late) 12.28.08

This Sunday Breakdown is not quite as late as the last one was. Hopefully this will help me get back in the saddle a little more on my blogging.

We had our first ever communion service at Life Church this week. In trying to mix it up a bit, we did a somewhat acoustic yet. We had me and BJ on acoustic guitars, Matt on bass, and Trent on his set (just Bass Drum, Snare, Hi-Hats, and Ride Cymbal). We all sat on stools and had a bunch of candles on the stage and in front of the stage. It definitely helped to create a more intimate environment.

Here’s our set lists from the service:

Your Grace Is Enough (Chris Tomlin)

Faithful (North Point Live)

Mighty To Save (Hillsong)

Lead Me To The Cross (Hillsong) – Christy owned this song, she stinkin nailed it!

The Body and The Blood (Me-sorry no recording of it)

Communion (Third Day) – we did this song with scenes from “The Passion Of The Christ” playing on the screen, one word=POWERFUL!

Lift High (Eddie Kirkland)

Jesus Paid It All (North Point) – sums up the purpose of communion perfectly!

We Have Overcome (Elevation Worship) – This was our first time doing this song, I thought it went over very well. This song will definitely be a regular in our rotation!

What was your favorite song?

Josh
