Sunday Breakdown

Yesterday was a good day. It wasn’t our best Sunday by far, but it went well. We’re having to fight some demons in our sound board and it’s causing setbacks in other areas of preparation for our worship times. We had the sound system set up with the iPod playing by 7:15 but at 9:00 we had barely played through 1 song. We had spent almost 2 hours fighting with sound checks, monitors, and the like. We’re slowly working through it and I expect it to only get better over the next couple of weeks.

The set this week was all familiar tunes we’d done before. Everyone seemed to really engage and take some ownership of what we were singing, which is always awesome to me. I hate leading songs. I love leading worshippers. Here’s the set…

Not To Us/Here Is Our King
Everything That’s Beautiful
(This song had special meaning to me this week, singing about every perfect gift coming from God 3 days after your 2nd child being born is pretty powerful!)
Sing To The King
(Christy knocks this one out of the park every time! It’s an older song, but still great!)
Son of God
Mighty To Save
Not To Us/Here Is Our King
(We did this one to start and end the service. It’s such a powerful anthem and a great opening and
closing prayer!)

I can’t wait till the set this coming Sunday, believe me, you won’t want to miss it!
